About Tom
Hi my name is Tom Matzelle. The reality is, you can’t pass a bookshelf these days without seeing some new strategy or self-help resource promising to boost your performance.
There’s a “breakthrough” system being promoted all the time, especially if you do any searching online.
And this presents an unfortunate issue.
Not only does it force you to figure where to focus your attention, but you’re always jumping from one idea to the next. So you never really make much progress.
Sound familiar?
I simplify the process for you, providing you with a plan specific to your desired outcome.
It’s called The Performance Multiplier.
The approach is used by individuals and organizations such as Amazon.com, the Expedia Group, Salesforce.com, Stanford University, Southwest Airlines, Chase Bank, the Seattle Mariners and the Los Angeles Angels.
So what you get are strategies used in the real world -- at the highest levels of business and performance -- right now.
Each strategy is designed to overcome obstacles and optimize your productivity, so you unlock your true potential.
Here are just some of the areas I specialize in:
Strategy
Goal Setting
Behavioral Assessments
Performance and Career Coaching
Leadership and Executive Management
Emotional Intelligence (Team and Individual)
Optimizing Processes and Systems
I’m also the author of Goal Setting: Move Forward and Get Out of the Way, which focuses on simple actions coupled with true, honest self-assessment can help you turn your dreams into reality by first turning your thoughts into action. You can get the book through Amazon.
Currently, I live in Seattle, WA with my bulldog Chuck, who only loves toys more than his human. I enjoy giving back to the community having coached youth basketball, sitting on the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club, a Bellevue Chamber of Commerce member, and pro-bono coaching through my non-profit organization.
I’m also the co-owner of two restaurants in the Seattle area and love mountain climbing (summited Mt. Rainier in 2018), being active outdoors, all Seattle sports teams, and the Washington State Cougs (proud alum).

At Expedia, I trained our Global Lodging teams to succeed through learning solutions that include leadership, sales, tools and process training. I also developed training courses in Sales and Negotiations, Revenue Management and Effective Communications.
My focus was on the logistical pieces from managing the Global training team, scheduling, maintain the budget while keeping an eye on the ROI that goes into the pre-training, in class, and post-training for our teams. I also facilitated globally, lead train-the-trainer programs, remote and self-paced courses to over 2,000 employees and worked with our executive leadership and HRBP's.
